He approached Martial Arts in 1980 practicing Judo, Ju Jitsu, Karate, Kung Fu, Wing Tsun, Escrima, MuayThai, JKD / Kali. He considers Indo-Malaysian Silat as his natural dimension and expression. He considers Silat as root and evolution of all Arts at the same time.

He has been professional operator in security and defense for years (being trained in American and Israeli schools). Nowadays he’s consultant and trainer for security, self-defense, use of not-deadly weapons and firearms of different police departments.

He teaches methodologies to prevent aggressions and attacks, defense and anti-rape techniques in many Secondary Schools, he runs stages and conferences all over the world, both for civil and for military and Police departments.

He always travels through Europe, USA, Africa, India, Indonesia, running seminaries and conferences, studying and improving his knowledge.

He has published books and didactical videos about combat with and without arms, he took part in TV shows as expert of self-defense and VIP security and he co-operated with the most popular trade magazines (he was on cover many times and interviewed for Italian and foreign magazines).

He withdrew from public training in 2001, because of too many requests for private courses and trainings for the Police.
It’s still possible to meet him during conferences and seminaries or personal trainings on specific request at the School.

His name has been changed into Mikhail Nayr in 2009 (as usual according to custom, the Sheik changes the student, or "murid", name) and he became Guru (or "Sheik"), that means “The one who knows” (wise man).
