There are many wrong interpretations in the Martial Arts world, but the most deep and rich in meaning is the one that says that the Guru is the “Master”.

The word “guru” doesn’t really exist in any oriental language, not in the way we mean it.

Even in western languages the word “Maestro” derives from “Magister”, that is from “Magus” (Magician) or Wise Man. In our Art we usually call the Master “Guru” (or “Sheik” according to the cultural and geographic location).

Far away from what it’s usually the common idea of the “Master”, here the “Master” is “Servant of Art”, guide of the School and reference model for all the members, he must demonstrate every day he’s proud of being the Guru as the original meaning of the word (Guru derives from Samskrit):

"Guide.
Person who brings the knowledge
and moves the ignorance darkness away".

His duty is to preserve the system and diffuse it faithfully without any contamination. He assures integrity and take care of history, philosophy and practice esoteric aspects (“Rashia” or “Secrets”).

Following the precepts of the Ancient Code, he shares his knowledge with deserving people only, with people who accept rules and discipline. He can expel people who breach rules. He teaches the real structure of the Way, of the Warrior Art, the mystic search of the “No enemies Philosophy”.

“The message is more important than the messenger, but the messenger must be worthy of the message he brings”
